Kelowna Womens Shelter, Elizabeth Fry Society Launch Safe Spaces

The Kelowna Women's Shelter and Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society want to make sure people exposed to domestic violence can get the help they need.

They have joined forces to create the Safe Spaces Campaign.

The Kelowna Women's Shelter's Ester Pike says there is also remote help, "We also offer counselling over the phone or in person. We are able to offer safety planning, outreach support, support for children who have witnessed abuse through our peace program. And we also have the most up-to-date information on available resources in the community for women and children who may be struggling."

The campaign is at SafeSpacesOkanagan.com.
