News2024 IPE Theme

2024 IPE Theme

Agriculture is in our ‘JEANS

Agriculture is in our ‘JEANS’ ….that's what is behind this year's IPE theme in Armstrong. Come celebrate ‘Denim in the Dirt’ at the 123rd Interior Provincial Exhibition.
Each year the IPE & Stampede creates a unique theme focusing on one of our many divisions. For 2024 it's bringing together the Sewing, Quilting, and Fancywork division with everything denim! Quilting has been part of the fair since the beginning, and organizers felt that since denim and jeans have also been a part of the farming and rodeo lifestyle for decades the combination is perfect.
The IPE Directors and staff encourage all our guests, vendors, businesses, and parade entries to embrace the ‘Denim in the Dirt’ theme as we all have a favorite pair of jeans whether they’re dark, light, acid wash, or full of holes. Jeans are a ubiquitous part of the fair wardrobe, and they have been forever. Many stars have even sung about the passion for denim including Neil Diamond with ‘Forever in Blue Jeans’ or ‘Baby’s got her Blue Jeans on’ by George Strait.
Country, Farming, and the IPE go together like 1,2,3 …so you are invited celebrate the 123rd IPE with ‘Denim in the Dirt’
