The temporary closure of all areas of Rose Valley Regional Park is required from Wednesday, April 16 until Wednesday, April 30, 2025, inclusive, to allow for the safe hauling of wildfire salvage harvested trees. The closure includes the previously reopened Yellow Bell Loop, the Bunchgrass Trail and all parking lots.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan asks that the public stay out of the closed park and observe all barricades and signs.
“Tree hauling is a critical step as we move toward parkland restoration,” says Wayne Darlington, Manager of Parks Capital Planning and Asset Management. “Above average spring precipitation has delayed our progress. We very much appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we complete this stage in the process. We remain committed to reopening the park as soon as possible.”
