On April 23, 2025, West Kelowna RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team and Central Okanagan Search and Rescue recovered the 64-year-old man who was pushed into the lake inside his vehicle on April 1, 2025 following a significant mud slide on West Side Road.
“We offer our sincerest condolences to the friends and family of this man and will continue to offer any support services they may require.”

Recovery teams were not able to remove the vehicle from the lake at this time.
